*This is a courtesy post for Ebony, a pup in need in Greenville, GA. Ebony was rescued from a fighting ring and is part of an ongoing case. She is still considered evidence and is therefore rescue only. She is located at Meriwether County Animal Shelter in Greenville, GA Contact: desimarie13@yahoo (706) 594-5964 The rescue that helps her will need to have the ability to bring her back to the County for a court hearing if need be. Greenville, GA: Sweet Ebony is a loving little girl that needs our help. She sits at animal control day in and day out with only one person that will go walk and spend time with her. Ebony has been at animal control since January when she was seized from an active dog fight bust in Meriwether County. While being at animal control ebony has gone from a scared, lost pup to a beautiful, sweet doggie. She can still be shy around some men, but once she see they wont hurt her she relaxes (shows no aggression, just hides). She is doing wonderful with her leash walking manners and is learning how to control her excitement when getting out of her run to go for a walk, which is a big feat since she does not get to go out every day. The county will not allow her to be dog tested without a fence. So she has met several dogs through the fence, males and females, and she has done well with all of them, she has even tried to play a few times. She does need to learn doggie etiquette though and would do best with a mellow, non-dominant dog. The shelter estimates Ebony at 2 years old and she appears to be a pit bull/bull terrier mix. Ebony truly deserves a chance at a happy life!
