This is a fascinating and sobering article. I really appreciated the caption Carter Phipps put when he posted this article, so Im quoting his sentiments: Thoughtful article and hard lessons....One of the problems with idealism is that it can be so blind to whats actually needed and the actual next steps to take. For the record, I find the current trend to be so critical of the Bono and other celebrities who have made noble efforts in the developing world painfully narrow--even if some of the criticisms may be accurate. Lets be smart and learn from mistakes and move forward, without any condemnation of so many people whose hearts are certainly in the right place. Gail Hochachka, Emine Kiray, would be curious your thoughts, reflections, critiques or whatnot on the article....
