This is a first introduction with Bessie, who is here for rehab for dog reactivity. ....to O conner, also here for a variety of unruly behaviors. It was a little over threshold a couple of times so we know how to proceed. I completely held my breath when he decided to rush her. She has been playing with him at the fence line, so she was expecting exuberance. We have been prepping them for this introduction for several weeks because of their history. We were very happy with both of their responses. OConner was a little over excited and we dont want him to push Bessie past her threshold, so we will modify the exercise during their future interactions so that she doesnt get so bombarded. We were very happy that Bessie chose without cue to get herself out of the situation like we have been teaching her. She did it like a pro......now if we can just help her associate it in other dog situations, she is close to PERFECT. Bessie is a Pet Connection dog and OConner is a KCPP dog, both of them are for adoption. 913-671-7387
