This is a friendly reminder for everybody to please be civil towards others in our group. This is not a site for picking fights, calling names or just being mean and nasty. This is a site for all of us in the transplant family, whether we are donors & donor families, recipients or supporting friends and family members to come together and reflect on the gift of life in a positive way. While the 2016 dates were recently announced and it does conflict with some peoples schedules please be mindful that we can not possibly make all of the people happy all of the time. While I wish it was as easy as saying hocus pocus to change the dates to a magical week that everybody can attend -- the reality is that due to the big national convention that is coming to Cleveland (announced after the TGA picked Cleveland for 2016 mind you) we lost the ability to hold the event during the ideal times that most people would like to see the games held. It should be noted however that at least for the last 20 years the games have been held anywhere from June through August and the games largely depends on when dates are available by the host city. I am sorry that some people will have to miss these games but that shouldnt stop any of us from being in the family, continuing to stay healthy, training for future events and of course promote -- in a positive way -- what transplantation can do for somebody who is very sick and to try to increase organ donor awareness for the future.
