This is a good example of emotion getting ahead of technology. Many of us jumped on the CFL bandwagon, only to find out they dont perform at home the same as in the lab. Luckily, they dont last 10 years (sometimes 10 weeks) so we can replace them. I have been buying LEDs hopefully, not making another mistake. Now the gov. is funding 40 Billion a year for solar and alternative energy. Throwing money at a problem doesnt speed up research.
