This is a great article and represents the disconnect in our country. We push higher education and treat the trades as something bad that is deemed for an immigrant. We have students coming out of universities with insurmountable debt and limited job prospects. We look down on working class folks. The admin advocates immigration because our citizens are above sweat and callous. These blue collar jobs require extensive education and skill....after all, log cabins are a thing of the past. And they pay accordingly. An 18 year old can make a great living in time, by 30, while a recent grad works for slave wages pining for promotion. Give me a hammer, I can add value. My ideology wont pay the bills, my back does. Its not how you make money, its what you do with it. There is such a void of humility these days.
