This is a great article, one that really helps explain what can happen when. I love my dogs to the moon and back. I would love to believe that my pups would never bite anyone, but I know thats just not the case. They are a part of my family BUT THEY ARE DOGS. Dogs are like people from the stance that we all have things that annoy us, as people we can vocalize when we hit our threshold of not wanting to be a part of something. In my experience, all too often people will scold a dog that is trying very hard to tolerate a situation, the low grumbling growl is a warning that they are at that point, so instead of giving the dog the space theyre asking for they are punished for the warning. Looking away or side eyed I call it... not wanting to make eye contact is another. As a pet guardian its your responsibility to allow your pup the space, know the signs and take heed, Ive not ever heard of or witnessed a dog bite without warning, we just need to do a better job to recognize when the warning is occurring.
