“This is a great day for transit in Mount Pleasant,” said Mayor Linda Page. “I would like to thank the Towne Centre principals, architects, CARTA and our community transit advocates for joining efforts in this great venture. These wonderful structures will provide welcome shelter for residents and visitors using transit as an efficient, green and viable means of transportation.” The bus shelters are part of a development agreement between Miller Capital Advisory, Inc. and the Town of Mount Pleasant to promote the integration of alternative means of transportation highlighted in the Mount Pleasant Comprehensive Plan.
