This is a great story of the human spirit overcoming severe adversity... meet Jake McGehee, guitarist and musician extraordinaire. In May 2012, whilst Jake was working at his other job to remove a two-and-half-foot-long lithium battery, it suddenly exploded, dousing him in toxic lithium that burned his flesh to the bone. Jake was so badly burned that the doctors put him into an induced coma for over seven weeks to help his body relax enough to repair itself. Sadly, it was determined that his right arm was so badly damaged and septic that it would have to be removed and Jakes guitar playing days seemed over... but Jakes fighting spirit didnt give up so quickly...
