This is a letter from my good friend Dan Adler. I truly feel he and his wife Sandy have a very important ministry. They have been bringing unity to the Twin Cities for a long time. We need to keep them going. I would give up 5 cups of coffee or whatever it took to make sure these guys have what they need. Now if you feel that tugging or prompting from the L-rd. This is the Holy Spirit speaking to us saying....do it. Sewing into a ministry with this kind of calling to bring unity in the Body of Chr-st is very good ground to sew into. Dear Heart of the City Friends, We now have the equivalent of 58 people donating $20.00 a month to this ministry in 2015. So we just need 267 more of you to join them and we will have our 2015 budget fully funded. For a little perspective on what were asking of you, here are a few things $20.00 can buy you: - 1/3 of a moderately sized Christmas tree from a local tree vendor (theres nothing like a real tree - but they arent cheap) - 1 1/2 sets of Elixir Guitar strings (Elixirs are great but at about $14.00 a set, you have to ration them out a bit) - 1/2 a month membership at the Osseo Gun Club (I know thats random, but I just happened to stop by the new place and checked it out the other day) - 5 Medium Turtle Mochas at Caribou Coffee (I actually hate coffee, but thats what Ive been told) - 9 gallons of gas at todays prices (way better than a couple of months ago, but still not cheap) - 2 Burger King Whopper meals at the Minneapolis Airport (trust me, Sandy and I are regulars these days) - 3/4 of a full rack of ribs at Famous Daves (a birthday favorite in my life) - 1 Charlie Brown waffle maker (yeah, I bought one to replace our old Snoopy one as a Christmas gift) So, as you can see, $20.00 isnt much these days, but if 267 more people combine that $20.00 each once a month, it will fully fund the budget of this entire ministry for a year! Would you be one of the 267 more people who will commit to donating just $20.00 a month so that in 2015, Heart of the City can go out and minister wherever needed, as Musicianaries, without having to depend on offerings or honorariums to determine when and where can minister?
