This is a little indiscriminate; I am sure there are still some elderly humans that are still worth keeping, not only for their intellectual value, but because they are still physically capable of looking after themselves, and are an enrichment to the communities they reside in. For those that are already in a senile state, neglected, incapable of normal function, a burden to family and society, no hope of curing them, then it would be agreeable to let them "rest" indefinitely.
