This is a little outside the box considering Steve Nash is already on the roster, but the 39-year-old veteran is clearly on the decline. The future Hall of Famer missed a lot of time last season and likely only has a few years remaining in his career. Jennings could play alongside one of the best ever to play the position before eventually taking over as the point guard of the future for the Lakers. With Dwight Howard deciding to play for the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles needs new young players that can help the historic franchise remain on top for years. Kobe Bryant is still the face of the organization, but he will not be around forever. Of course, Jennings would not only help the future; he would also be a smart acquisition for next season. The Lakers will struggle to score with Bryant on the sidelines for the first few months of the year. Jennings will take over the role of a go-to scorer until the veteran returns to the court. After playing alongside a guard who shot way too much last season in Monta Ellis, Jennings would easily be able to adjust to Bryant when he does return.
