This is a long post. Read it all. This is about the departure of our drummer Chris, and the search for our new drummer. To our friends and fans: We are very sad to announce that our long time drummer and friend Christopher Brian Marin has had to part ways with Chamber of Echoes. He’s had to leave everything in Los Angeles behind, and move over 1,400 miles away to Washington for the sake of family. In that case, of course we are very happy for him, and he is doing the right thing! But we are really saddened over the loss of a great friend, creative partner, and musical family member who has stuck with us basically since the bands very beginning...from playing dive bars and pizza places in small towns, dealing with shitty managers and scam artists, so many life lessons of trial and error, winning our first awards, pay to play venue nonsense, becoming the opener multiple times to national touring acts, nailing our first big interviews, filming our first music video, releasing multiple albums and singles, to finally getting approached by labels and touring with us across the US. Chris, you will always remain in our hearts and memories for helping bring this band to where it is today, and we couldn’t have done it without you...at all. We will always miss you and love you very much.
