This is a perfect example of why Andre Rieu is so successful - he chooses songs that his audience knows and loves. Each country he goes to, he selects folk/popular songs many people in that country love. Many artists think art is about expressing themselves or meeting some high ideal. I prefer the philosophy that art is about bringing joy to the audience. Perform what your audience will dance to, sing along with, and love. :)
