This is a personal note of gratitude as well as a summary of WTRRAs participation in Idaho Gives. At the dong of the midnight bell I suddenly looked 25 again. Then realized I was dreaming after almost 24 hours of manning the computer to raise money. Thanks to the 28 donors who donated 1,800.00 placing WTRRA in 8th place in the Central-East Region in the small non-profit category. Thanks to those individuals who donated after the deadline and moved us over the $2000.00 hurdle. It is gratifying that 10 donors are from outside the area and 4 of those are new to WTRRA. (I am excited to make contact and learn what drew them to support our programs) Thanks to my family for their donations.To the Board members for once again saying yes. To the volunteers, parents and participants who value therapeutic riding. To my many Facebook friends who read my posts, tolerated the constant barrage of photos , liked the posts and sighed with relief at midnight. A special thanks to Karen Sholes who stayed up until after midnight and provided encouragement from Salmon.
