Everything about it annoys me: its a perfect demonstration of how polemic needs to be punchy, because if you give in to rambling you lose energy and sacrifice the effect of the ironic conceit; its an open letter to one party intended as a sotto voce dis of others, but meanders through its slack narrative enough to lose sight of that several times; in doing so it repeatedly asks the worlds most prominent Buddhist to recall biblical parables, asserting that as a common cultural resource with all the self-awareness of a Fox News vox pop. Seriously, this should be taught to undergrads as an example of how not to write, anything. Ugh!
