This is a poem by7 my friend Michael Matthew McGee. Many of the people he describes in the poem could be many of my friends. Someone told me recently that I have really good friends. I told him that I am but a mirror of the people around me. I didnt tell him that I therefore surround myself with people I want to be, but dont actually think I can quite achieve the lofty goal of being as good, as interesting, as wise, as smart, as together, as graceful, as eloquent, as magickal, as, as, as, as they are. *shrug* It keeps me working, keeps me striving. And it means I know the best people. If youre reading this, please know: I love you. I wanna be you, but in my way ;-) Thank you for your existing, thank you for being an idol and a destination for my self-work, and thank you for the lessons youve taught me, whether you wanted to or not, whether you even knew you were teaching or not.
