This is a point Im often asked about... and this is a great answer below, (from Begin with Yes). Understanding our motives, aims, purposes, in a truthful meaningful way is not always easy. I remember the first time I heard (in the safe privacy of Self-to-self interior conversation) ...you know thats not actually true...). On the surface conscious level of our mind-self focus, we are all masters of avoidance, aware of it or not. In our inward learning, self-honesty, is an imperative (absolutely necessary or required, unavoidable) collection of core puzzle pieces about who we are as our encompassing identity, and who we are as our chosen, human-personality identity. For if we cannot choose this self-honest inward path, we will not know how to choose it actually (in actualized human reality). Self-to-self, there is no one to fool but our self... and realizing what this choice and effort means across the spectrum of our Self-Being, often frees us to begin authentically, sincerely trying to understand what (through why), is stopping our forward flight. Self honesty is a pure act of love, for it is a pure act of respect for Life. To be the best Self-and-self we can be, is an act of courage, and faith; of creative joy and encompassing trust. Self-honesty is an act of honouring our own existence as a part of Lifes larger picture... seen only if we determine to hear our own heart; and accept our desire to know who we are beyond the blockages of pain, fear, uncertainty and all the layers of self-sabotage. if you listen, your Self will help you hear what exists nowhere else, except in these intimate inward conversations; you will learn how to hear your own truth.
