This is a post from the committee at AHAR. As some of you are - TopicsExpress

This is a post from the committee at AHAR. As some of you are aware, there has been a malicious campaign against AHAR for some time. AHAR has been an outstanding success in many ways and this has created some difficulties for others. There are attempts to blacken AHARs name with photos taken out of context, people masquerading as volunteers and claiming mistreatment of animals. AHAR does handle large numbers of dogs and horses, often stepping in when other rescues have refused to do so. The staff work under great pressure to keep animals moving onwards to forever homes, in good health and with hopes of a future. We are inspected every 3 months by the Department of Agriculture veterinary service and ALWAYS follow their advice. the Local Authority veterinary service also call frequently and check on the standards of care. We believe there is a personal vendetta against people at AHAR. There is now GARDA investigation underway relating to this abuse. Our vet has been targeted as well. A separate investigation has been launched on foot of his complaints to the Gardai. This means we will not be able to comment on any posts about AHAR only to refute all claims of maltreatment of any animal in our care. While we go through this unpleasant business, please continue to support AHAR staff and particularly Suzanne who works so tirelessly and passionately for AHAR.
