This is a protest in Hawaii - another occupied territory! From Henry Commons: You were very close Elizabeth. It is Mauna kea and if you can see all the observatories and spy stations on Mauna kea in the background, that is the reason my people are protesting. Mauna Kea is sacred to our people and so in Mt. Kaala. We have no say so in our country to protect what our people believe to be sacred to our people. We are heathens and heathens are not human beings. I and my children must watch our sacred sites being bulldozed and built over and sold or leased to the highest bidder weather they are US or foreign - money is money. Does it really matter to anyone? We have been peacefully trying to get our country deoccupied militarily and otherwise but no one hears us because we are out of site and out of mind and we are not worthy of the news because we are not killing anyone or blowing thins up. Must we resort to violence in order to be heard by the world? Any idea why such a small nation as my country had to be invaded and made into the 50th state when we are not geologically connected or even close to the United States? It is just another peaceful protest by the Polynesian Nigger heathens and nothing more. Let them protest, they will be gone in less than 26 years. Mahalo nui loa Elizabeth Harley, for your interest and for caring and your humanitarianism. My mom told me when I was four years old and went off to school that there were three types of people in this world: Those who made things happen; those who watched things happen; and those who dont know what is happening. Then she said. Which one of those people are you. I grew up in poverty and racism, my mom was called a Nigger Lover because she loved my dad. My dad and mom could not travel to the United States together when they were younger because he was black and my mom was white and I loved both of them and they were in love with each other. I may be undereducated but my children are educated and we were not allowed nor did we have any institution to learn our language until 1992, one year before the Apology Bill by the US Congress and President Clinton. It is an empty apology like the treaties the US signed with the Kingdom of Hawaii and the Aboriginal Americans. Mt. Kaala is beautiful. If one is at the top one can see on both side of the Island and who knows, if it is clear enough, then one can see Kauai. The Hague has heard our please for help and has ruled in our favor, saying we are a militarily occupied country and should be treated as a militarily occupied country, but Hillary Clinton withdrew from the United States from the Hague hearings and therefor the Hague ruling is not binding on a non participant; the Hague does not have enforcement powers, only the UN and Super Powers. Oh well, when a country is the only Super Power, then it pretty much does as it pleases. Nature always sets herself upright, even if homo sapiens sapiens are always trying to upset her balance. One day we will be set upright, or we will be EXTINCT, that is nature. A hui hou.
