This is a public service announcement. 10 years ago I had a surgery to remove a tumor that was attached to my inner ear nerve which resulted in me becoming deaf in my left ear as a result of the nerve being severed during the surgery.This exposed a pre-natal birth defect in my other ear that I only hear the middle to the bottom frequencies and the very highest frequencies. Ive since become very cautious about protecting what I have left and almost always wear hearing protection at gigs I go see and ones I play. If you dont know what its like to be deaf, you dont have to. Wear ear protection. Please.
