This is a question and a statement. How close is too close to the hive entrance? I found out my limit just now!OUCH! One popped me on the corner of my left eye right under my eyebrow. Burns....like.....hot....grease! Must be some new bees in there and just didnt recognize me. ;) Anyway, 5wks ago I could put my finger on them at the entrance. Wanted to look closer to see if any had mites and thats when I got it! It does appear like much more activity now than before. There are some with white, gold, and darker pollen going in. I dont have to ask the question how does there sting compare to a wasp now! Not much diff at all! :/
