This is a real problem. LGBT frequently do not get appropriate health care, because to be bunt theres an ongoing uphill battle to educate their medical teams as to what they ended. Ive seen this often, and Ive experienced it myself. Social and biographical context do matter to getting good healthcare, and its not just about your biological baseline. We are not just biomechanical engines that need to be foxed, we are entire ecologies of life and relationship. Again to be blunt, Ive had more than one doctor completely brush aside and not listen to what I was saying, purely because of wrong assumptions they make who I am and what Ive been through, with me having to do a lot of effort into correcting them before they would listen and give me the care I needed. Trust is a MAJOR issue.
