While the war raged on on the Western Front, parts of the front lines engaged in a Christmas Eve truce, allowing once enemies to become brothers for a short time to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas including the singing of Silent Night. This event has been well-documented in history and this commercial is an interesting rendition of exactly what the Christmas Eve truce of 1914 might have looked like on the front lines of the Western Front in Europe.
