This is a request to all my Facebook friends living in or with contacts in the countries listed below. As you will have seen on my page and elsewhere, Dr. Tarek Loubani, has been wrongfully detained in an Egyptian prison for almost two months, along with filmmaker, John Greyson. They were on their way to do humanitarian work in Palestine. They have been held in horrendous conditions and have been told that their detention - as yet without charges - has been extended for at least another 45 days. Some of the false charges the Egyptian authorities are considering have very serious penalties. If you are living outside the US or Canada and willing to help by contacting the Egyptian embassy or consulate in your city - or to ask friends to do so - please reply to me or send a private message.
