This is a sad occasion, the passing away of Abu Michelle, may his soul rest in eternal peace. Ammar and I drove to the Naber Hall to pay our condolences to the deceased family. Abu Michelle, born a Christian and died a Moslem. Accepting the condolences were his lineage of Christian and Moslem sons and daughters. Men and women sat together side by side in sheer harmony trying to alleviate the family’s situation. I looked at Ammar and said, “This can take place only in Jordan”. Truly, this is the way we were brought up; devoid of religious, ethnic or creed differences. Ammar answered back by reminding me that his partner, brother and friend is a Christian and that I myself am married to a Christian. May God bless Jordan.
