This is a sensitive subject - any negative comments = keep them to yourself. I love my locs. I have wonderful friends whom have beautiful locs too, and serve our country well. Why should my friend (no name) have to braid down her locs, and have fake straight hair placed on top of it in order to continue serving her country? By keeping the natural hair the grows from her scalp visible she could be discharged for violating the dress code? This isnt a small matter. What if something about you (skin, color, hair, eyes, arms, legs, lashes) were different and you were penalized for it, how would you feel? It just saddens me that many ethic styles offend people this much. When will it ever be okay to just be me, a black woman? When? I hope you will at least consider signing this petition. Read into it.
