This is a series of pics of the young mare I started under saddle at Saturday nights show here at Susan River Homestead. Her name is Quietway Playin with Kites, (Kydie for short) and on her third day of riding, she has been a true superstar. We started out with a profile pic and then headed straight out into the open pastures that I have ridden Nugget and all of my performance stars in Australia (past and present). We met up with many of the Homesteads guest horses and then rode up onto one of Lake McLeans risen banks and clicked of a shadow shot before riding into one of the lakes bank side shelters before a quick wade in the water and ended up going for a bit of a stroll along one of the many verandas here at the resort (dont tell Dad). A lot of people remarked about Mates extraordinary ride in the obstacle course on day three of the world Championships in 2013 and I just say Ahh, Thats nothing compared to what my youngsters do on their third day at home(although Mate was certainly awesome) She is as classy and athletic a youngster as I have ever ridden and reminds me so much of my Mr Incredible Spinabbey and Im excited to watch her develop into the jewel she was born to be. Well done my precious girl, you make me and your entire family tree very proud indeed
