This is a short video from the Russian side at Donetsk Airport. You can tell most of these guys are not professionally trained. That big ass gun you see them firing at the control tower was either stolen from old Soviet stockpiles in Ukraine, or a museum. Its an anti-tank gun which entered service in the Soviet Red Army in the early 1950s. Its useless today as an anti-tank weapon due to modern advances in armor metallurgy. It would bounce off an M-1 Abrams or Israeli Merkava even at close range. But, it still makes and excellent field assault gun, as seen here. You see a lot of these in the Middle East still too.
