This is a summary of representations submitted to AVBC during the consultation period regarding changes to the Core Strategy (Local Plan part 1) The summary is missing many details and makes no reference to number of representations raising particular issues, quotes have been taken out of context, some quotes have been printed in full where others have been omitted. Important representations submitted by official bodies i.e. Heritage, Wildlife etc do not show the full extent of their concerns, therefore, this document is of little use when our local Councillors are expected to vote based on this. Some of you may wish to contact the local Councillors from any Political Party, who will be voting on Wed 15th, with your concerns. ambervalley.gov.uk/council-and-democracy/councillors,-democracy-and-elections/borough-councillor-lookup.aspx The petition from Protect Belper with over 2000 signatures had originally been omitted from the document along with other representations; this has now been amended. There were 482 representations regarding Bullsmoor/Cherry House Farm and 461 for Pottery Farm, most of these representations contained very detailed objections regarding material planning considerations, but out of all of these there were perhaps 2 or 3 that mentioned anything about unemployed people and the crime rate in the area, but this gets a specific mention and stands out, having the effect of making us all look like NIMBYs.
