This is a terrible, embarrassing interview that asks no tough questions at all. Ive lost all respect for George Stephanopouloss journalistic integrity (Im sure the softball questions were part of what allowed him to score the exclusive, but integrity is more important than fame.) As someone who has experience with police as a lawyer, activist, and journalist, Wilsons story is also wildly implausible. I lived on the South Side of Chicago for almost 13 years and worked for a good portion of that time in the projects. I saw how white police officers interacted with people of color on the streets. And there is NO WAY a police officer was as deferential and respectful as he is making himself seem here. And if hes being deceptive about the tenor of the interaction, why not the factual details, too? Outrageous. I cant believe ABC News published this without any sort of rejoinder....
