This is a terrific piece which made me stop & think. I do not mean to discount the good this challenge did (raising money & awareness), nor to insult/attack/offend anyone who did/is doing/will do this. But people shouldnt be badgered & harassed to donate money - regardless of the cause. Plenty donate w/o the obligatory bragging rights. And many, in this economy, dont even have extra cash to donate. Still others donate time and/or talents to an organization. So dont misunderstand me - this was a brilliant marketing idea & did help raise awareness & funds. But there are other ways to do both, and other causes also worthy of your donations - be it cash, time, talent or whatever ways you are able help. Thats just my take on the whole thing. :)
