This is a toastmasters speech. It won a contest which is best caled the annual Toastmasters International Speech Contest. I think this speech tells me why I will be leaving Toastmasters fairly soon. Its got all the worn cliques - well what I think - He talks about his mother, about Toastmasters, hes got a rose which he uses as a prop. hes got the red tie for the bit of colour which matches the rose. Toastmasters judges never go for creative speeches, that is speeches which have a new message, they go for speeches which have a message they already know. This speech is extremely well formaulted, extremely well delivered and extremely simple which means its very easy to follow. It connects as all who bring up the mother, the father and the organisation do, but its not inspirational, not daring. And I am not inspired to write such a speech. Its easy to do, very easy, but would one be authentic. What does authentc mean? Its a good question. Maybe Ill write a speech on what it means to be authentic... proabably a creative one... probably Ill be misunderstood.,, but then arent I always. https://youtube/watch?v=bbz2boNSeL0
