This is a true story-sitting here looking at my newsfeed --and see that someone has posted a picture of their pup explaining that after a terrible incident they have decided to euthanize their dog. So, I message them and ask what happened- can I help? I was told that the dog attacked without provocation-so I asked-whats the context? was he leashed? was he spooked? approached by a stranger? In a series of texts that followed-I was told she didnt want to get into it. I contacted my friends-found rescue spots for the dog-so I messaged her and said-we have 2 rescues who will take your dog-then she proceeds to tell me I do not have empathy for her & to stop contacting her. Now-please know if this woman said-yes, he attacked the baby-he almost killed someone-I get it....but why post you are going to KILL your dog and then not at least respond to help or give a reason. I want to sleep tonight-but I know I wont. Sorry folks--I truly believe that 99% of animal behavior is environment--so sad. RIP little pup-my heart just hopes that you sleep quickly and I know my Polly will be there waiting to greet you. And lady-if you change your mind and want our help-please contact us-we will take your dog off your hands
