This is a very important announcement!! It is time sensitive! TAKE ACTION NOW! Terri MRVP waiting list opened statewide !!!! Hi all, The Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program (MRVP) waiting list is opening for the Regional Administering Agencies (Department of Housing and Community Development agencies that oversee their portfolio of housing vouchers) EXCEPT for South Shore Housing and Berkshire Housing. A list of Regional Administering Agencies can be found here: mass.gov/hed/economic/eohed/dhcd/contacts/regional-administering-agencies-listing.html. There will be a lottery for available vouchers at each of the Regional Administering Agencies that is accepting applications at this time. In order to apply for these vouchers, MFP consumers must fill out the DHCD Universal Standard Application (mass.gov/hed/press-releases/new-support-for-affordable-housing-units.html). Because MFP enrollees are in nursing homes (or if you have consumers that meet other emergency requirements), they can also qualify for an emergency placement by filling out the Emergency Application (mass.gov/hed/docs/dhcd/ph/publichousingapplications/emergapp.pdf). I have also attached the guide that we have discussed in Regional Housing Meetings regarding how to fill this out. Please be very attentive to the fact that the lottery closes on Monday, November 3 at 5 pm. This means applications submitted after this time will not be entered into the lottery. These applications must be submitted either by mail or in person, so keep that in mind when considering when to submit and how long the application will take to get there by November 3 at 5 pm.
