This is a very interesting article about circular economy, which is a paradigm shift from buy & consume economy to one, which is based on regeneration & recycling and embedded in this article is a link to the full report on Circular Economy. It was surprising to learn that of the $3.2 Trillion worth of consumer goods being consumed every year, only 20% is recycled and if we can increase that to 60%, it may alter the industrial dynamics. We cannot sustain the current level of resource intensity especially the kind we have seen the developed world in the last 150 years and in China over the last quarter century. Developing world can make quantum leap as we rapidly urbanize.
