This is a very personal and special request from me. I have been volunteering for AAR since January of last year and it is one of the best things I have ever done. I know many of you are animal lovers, and those of you that arent love people who love animals. I have seen over 200 animals saved, adopted, and fostered from Smyth County. I have seen a lady that has dedicated her entire life to ensuring that more and more cats dont end up at the shelter as well. I have seen people touched by the animals that we take to adoption events. I know everyone is asking for money these days, but we are honestly and truly a nonprofit organization. We arent paid to do what we do, we just do it. The rescue needs help, though. It takes money to vet, house, and feed all of these animals. If everyone donated just $1, we would be making a huge difference. If you cant donate, and I know times are hard, please just take a minute to share with those on your friends list. We share photos, memes, political posts, and other things that dont really matter in mere seconds. This is something that matters. Its making a difference and saving lives.
