This is a very sad day for Country Music as Rusty Rogers, star of Stage, TV, and Radio has succumbed this afternoon following a long illness. He was a real gentleman and a giant in the country and western music field, both as an individual and a member of the legendary Down Homers back in the day. Rusty was a dear friend and colleague to me and a tremendous asset to the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame. He was a member of the Board for the HOF as well as a member of the induction Committee.
