This is a very very good interview and a great example of why we cant and shouldnt just take the newsl word on what theyre reporting. Ive often thought about the different women prime ministers that have elected, key word being elected, into office in predominantly Muslim nations such as Benazir Bhutto in Pakistan and Indira Ghandi in India (not Muslim but still Middle Eastern. We may differ greatly in our beliefs between Judeo-Christians and Muslims but to suggest that Islam is specifically and solely a religion of violence and needs to be fought against is very dangerous and futile. That mentality is whats been playing out in the Middle East for thousands of years. We dont need to join that fight. He explains how making generalizations easily paints a picture about a people which equates to bigotry. The conversation should be shifted from Muslim countries to specific nations that are employing archaic laws and oppressive practices against their people. Theres a whole lot more to the agenda thats being pushed than just American saftey. They want us all to be on board with endlessly warring with different countries in the Middle East. He also makes a great point about Saudi Arabia, our closest ally other than Israel in the region. Definitely worth the five minutes to watch. Check it out :v)
