The secular world is hell bent to avoid suffering, but in doing so they are tormented by evil because it is not the way of the Lord. Francis is appealing to the secular world and to naive Catholics who are not aware of the world events and how they relate to end times. Through charity and good deeds for the common good to serve people is being cleverly manipulated to establish leadership and trust, but also in the same action to subvert the truth within the church.
