This is actually old news. It was disclosed when it originally happened that this hack occurred. At the end of the day the Chinese will only be able to make a cheap knockoff. They do not have the metallurgy technology to create the alloys that the f-35s airframe is made of They also are terrible at making jet engines as well as avionics. The Chinese are struggling to modernize their military. They are having trouble reverse engineering a russian aircraft carrier that was sold to them, their drones suck as well as their satellites , and their main battle tank is a tin can compared to NATO tanks.
