This is all about the oil paint dot technique ... You can use as many colors as you like ...take a piece of cardboard and add just a small blob of each color you want .. I use everything from black to white .. some good colors are raw sienna and burnt umber .. for this one I added a couple of greens yellows ... Hey its up to you but you can see my pallet .. You add little spots all over (I do one side at a time .. ) leave the spots on for a few minutes ... then take a flat brush and dip it in lighter fluid (or your favorit thinner) then wipe most of the thinner off the brush ... then drag the paint brush down the sides removing as much of the paint as you want .. Wipe your brush off often and repeat until youre happy with the look.. for flat surfaces like the turret roof .. I add less dots but just blend them into the paint instead of dragging the paint.. moderation is you friend here... So that concludes how I paint ... this is where the real weathering begins ... but thats another story... Worst thing is this poor kit ended up being stripped back down to plastic where it still sits waiting for me to try it again ... Looked great till I tried the hairspray technique ... uuuuggghhh!!
