This is all just too funny. So, I get into the studio today and immediately smell the stench of a gallon of chocolate milk that I accidentally left in the studio since Tuesday. (I use it as the hot cocoa for my hot cocoa stand prop.) I attempt to flush it down the toilet only to discover that all of sudden, my automatic flush toilet just isnt working. Okay. While dumping the rancid milk, some got onto me, so I grab a rag and go to the sink only to discover that, my automatic motion-censored sink isnt working either. So I have putrid milk in a toilet that isnt working, as well as on myself and no running water either. The show must go on. I put fresh choco milk in my dispenser and begin shooting, and about 30 seconds into my shoot my poor subject leans over too far on the cocoa stand and sends the drink dispenser and other glassware containing candy canes, marshmallows, Etc crashing to the ground. Mugs broken, glass everywhere, and a gallon of choco milk spreading out over the floor, which I now need to sop up, and then figure out how to clean up a floor with no running water. While trying to get everything back to rights, the photobook portfolio of my work that I keep in front got knocked to the ground and literally fell apart-every single page just came right out and detached from the spine. Yep. That was my morning. We refused to be defeated, my clients were super understanding and helpful, we got it all cleaned up, borrowed a mop and bucket from Steeltown Coffee & Tea, wiped down candy canes, did some re-arranging and completed what turned out to be a really good session. Hey, what can ya do?
