This is an 86 year old lady who took part in a Project for people in Over 50s resorts. I lead a series of 12 weekly ATM Classes funded by a Grant from Gold Coast Medicare Locals aimed at keeping people independent as long as possible. As part of this, I encouraged everyone to get down & up from the floor & this lady had a R knee replacement & severe OA in her L knee, so was not able to do it in one of the usual ways. One night she dreamt that she could do it, so she devised this way all by herself the next day. She told me that she should have waited until her daughter was present, but I said if she had been there,her daughter would have helped her up & she would never have found her own way! I then asked if I could film her doing it, & she was surprised that it was easier the second time. I just love her attitude!
