This is an AMAZING story, and just a hint of things to come. I think we will see more and more of this, and not only in mortgage lending, but in insurance, college, job interviews, etc. Be VERY careful what you post online! And give some careful thought even to what you like. For example, lets say you never post any inappropriate photos, your comments and posts are all positive and life-affirming to everyone, and neutral to all beliefs. But then you like a FB page that tells you how to illegally squat in a vacant bank-owned home and live rent free. Just liking the page could give your lender, or some other entity, reason to judge you based on that affinity, and turn you down for a loan, a job, or some other negative action. Look for an explosion of stories and court cases like this in the years to come. And in case you didnt know, nearly EVERYTHING is recorded once it hits the Internet. So if you post something, and then delete it two seconds later, its likely been captured somewhere and can be accessed later. Lets be careful out there!
