This is an email I received from a woman physician who is from Berlin. She came by the Nicki Leach Foundation booth at ASCO - she has Ovarian cancer, a mother of three little kids. (To protect her privacy I did not use her name) Dearest Bunny, Due to jet-lag or what´s however I am lots of thinking these nights. This 14th ASCO of mine was lots different than the others before. At those times I was presenting or listening alertly. This time I went to booths I have never been before like yours. I think the initiative you have brought to life, is a great idea. I have heard lots of new numbers and data even regarding my cancer type. I have heard that 70 % of patients with the cancer I suffer from do relapse in the first year, even if they have been operated on tumor-free and even if they had gone through all chemo cycles. That made me be scared. I just do not want any surgery any more. The chemotherapy was easy compared to the operations. Then I started reading your book. Beyond comparison Nicki´s destiny was lots worse to carry. She was so young. And so special. I have already had my life. So I will neither complain nor worry. I admire you for your strength and good vibes. I hope Nicki is always around you when you smell the flowers, when you hear the birds singing and when you listen to music. I hope you are not alone and the friendly man, I saw you leaving the conference with, takes care of you, You deserve this. I wish you all the best with all my heart,
