This is an email from the director of CRSD....If any of your know anyone or if you can share this so the word gets out, I would appreciate it. Hi everyone....this is Helen ...as in Keller. The weekend it was raining cats and dogs this little girl was dumped down in the south part of town, and with her disabilities was barely able to find a place to try and get shelter. A wonderful good Sam saw her and picked her up, took her home and warmed her up. Unfortunately she had large dogs and was staying in a place that would not allow another. She emailed me and since it was near Lynn she went and picked her up. She is mostly blind and mostly deaf but does get around pretty well by her sense of touch as these types of dogs do. About 8lbs, her teeth look pretty bad so will have a dental done so at least she wont be in pain. I now have her at my house as Lynn has been inundated with puppies again. I have seen her go out the door a couple of times, so she can probably see light and she seems to be able to hear just a tiny bit... :( and she has found the doggie bed in my office so is sitting here by me now. She also has a few small mammary tumors on her tummy as I suppose she has had countless puppies. ANYWAY, I think we need to find her a permanent home to live out her life, possibly a senior with time to walk with her in the yard or park, to hold her while they enjoy a bit of tv ..... she is probably not highly adoptable but we can provide food and flea meds if someone will permanent foster. I dont want any of you to take her.......... but if you know of someone that might be the right place please let me know.
