This is an excellent article and gives one pause for thought. As the world allegedly becomes "smaller" due to rapid communications, it seems that truth remains illusory, if not downright falsely manipulated by the same rapid-comms. Without reading a range of publications/stories about the same incident it is difficult to establish what is really happening. Once internet comms were relatively free but we now have to accept that all major ISPs "conform" to the rules of the jurisdiction in which they run their businesses. quite apart from global corporations and governments running big data batches. In the early days of satellite TV I recall our neighbour, an electronics importer, having a giant dish at the bottom of his garden which could pick up TV/comms from everywhere...the first time we saw Russian TV was amazing (remember this was still Cold War era!!). Were he to try that today (RIP Gene) I suspect he would fall foul of some comms regulation or even criminal/anti-terrorist law. Funny old world eh?
