This is an idea for a trivia panel that I have been sitting on since Ohayocon, or whatever 101 panel had a Touhou Jeopardy segment. Any Touhou fan probably knows that the Touhou universe is quite large; it spans at least 20 games, 4 fanbooks, 12 music albums, 5 comics, 2 short story collections. And every Touhou fan has most likely sampled from the endless mountains upon mountains of doujinshi, videos, and fan art. After that Ohayocon panel, I thought (for some nonsensical reason) that a game show would be a great way to explore and celebrate the universe that we fans know is Touhou. Though past 101 panels only occasionally included a trivia section, those panels are mostly intended for the uninitiated. I want this panel not just to be inviting to newcomers but also to be appealing to the converted. As far as the rules of the game are concerned, Touhou Jeopardy plays more or less like real Jeopardy, albeit with a couple of Touhou-inspired mechanics added in for flavor. (At the moment, the only differences are substituting points for dollars, including bosses, and letting audience members having a go at the questions. Im still trying to work out the details, so suggestions are much appreciated.) Figuring out which bullet hell elements can be easily worked into a quiz-show format was part of why I took so long to announce this; the rest is my own shyness and procrastination. As an aside, I think at the panel all non-cosplayers should wear silly hats. :)
