This is an image of Mare Humorum from the huge craters of Letronne - TopicsExpress

This is an image of Mare Humorum from the huge craters of Letronne and Gassendi to the northern part of Schickard. Note the faulting in the bottom of the great crater Gassendi near top center. Well shown in this image is Rima Mersenius and the concentric rimae in the mare itself. One of my favorite craters on the moon, Vitello, is shown at the bottom of this image. I love the interior of this crater with its unusual central peak. The smallest craters identified from LROC Quick Map, are about 1km in diameter just south of Gassendi. As usual, instrumentation details is on the image. The raw images were stacked with AutoStakkert, then processed with GIMP and finally assembled with AutoStitch.
